Carbon Black

Carbon black is primarily petroleum- or coal-based. Carbon black is produced through incomplete combustion at high temperatures, typically in a furnace (furnace black). It is used in inks and paints, particularly for news and heatset inks for publications, but its most common use is for automotive tires or rubber.
